v-beacons are tiny wireless transmitters that constantly send radio signals. Via Bluetooth 4.0, the transmitted radio signals connect with iOS devices like smartphones or tablets. Devices with this app can use received v-beacon signals to trigger and display any information from the internet that is relevant at a particular location or situation. The possibilities are literally unlimited! The simplest application is indoor mapping: The v-beacons make location information available, which a smartphone app can utilise to guide users through a store, parking area or indoor/outdoor public space. v-beacons can also be attached to points of interest where they provide information exactly at the spot where it is needed.
Requires iOS 7.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
